I Wanna Be Loved (SSAA)

This ballad from 1932 has been performed and recorded by multiple artists, perhaps
most natably by The Andrews Sisters in 1950.

The song title pretty much tells in a nutshell what the song is about, and the lyrics
do little to contradict that emotion. The song should be performed with great passion.
The more the performer can exude that feeling of need and desire for love, the more
impact it will have.

I originally arranged this song with 7 parts, envisioning an Andrews Sisters tribute
trio and male background ensemble, with hopes of bringing it to Normandy for
the 70th and 75th anniversaries of the D-Day landing. That didn’t end up happening.
And although this wasn’t a wartime song for the Andrews Sisters, I gave it that
setting with an original introduction to be presented as being sung by a young Rosie
The Riveter, working in the factories while all the young men were overseas fighting.

This SSAA version is a reduction of that original arrangemement, preserving its
structure, harmonies, and that same introduction.
